Huon-class Minehunter
Built by a joint partnership between Australian Defence Industries (ADI) and Intermarine SpA, Yarra was constructed at ADI's Newcastle shipyard, launched on 2 December 2000, and commissioned on 4 May 2002.
The fifth and penultimate vessel of Huon-class minehunters to have entered service in the Royal Australian Navy and the second warship to be named after the Diamantina River in Central Queensland.
